Game company Microsoft has recently started testing a new higher resolution for the dashboard of the Xbox Series X.
According to media outlet The Verge, the Xbox Insiders in the Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead rings are currently able to access this new version of the Xbox Series X dashboard, which is designed to improve the UI elements for 4K displays.
The Xbox testing team said that the changes are on the Home, Guide, and other areas of the UI. These will have higher native resolution, which will give it increased sharpness and the text will be easier to read now.
The Verge revealed that while it seemed that it has been upgraded for higher native resolution for certain elements, it does not appear that the entire dashboard is in 4K resolution.
The improvement is currently limited to the Xbox Series X for now. The dashboard for the Xbox Series S still remains the same, which is 1080p, but it can technically output at 4K.
No word yet when the higher resolution dashboard for the Xbox Series X will be implemented for the public.
