The Xenoblade franchise is one of Nintendo’s biggest JRPG series, and fans have plenty to look forward to following today’s Nintendo Direct. Alongside enhanced Nintendo Switch 2 Editions of the existing trilogy, Nintendo also unveiled an all-new Xenoblade title set to launch in 2027.
Nintendo announced Nintendo Switch 2 Editions for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is available digitally today, while physical editions and the remaining releases will roll out throughout the year.

Players who already own the Nintendo Switch versions can purchase Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Packs rather than buying the games again. Nintendo also confirmed that physical versions of all three Switch 2 Editions are planned.
Nintendo also announced Xenoblade: Genesis, a brand-new entry in the series scheduled to launch in 2027. While details remain scarce, the debut trailer teased an ambitious new adventure that could become the largest Xenoblade game to date.
More information about Xenoblade: Genesis is expected to be revealed in the coming months.
