The Sepapa Shrine is among the various Hyrule Surface shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which tasks players to solve the puzzle called “Backtrack” where Link has to make use of his Recall ability to navigate through different obstacles of the shrine.

Read ahead as we go through the steps in order to solve the Backtrack puzzle of the Sepapa Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tears of the Kingdom Sepapa Shrine Location

The Tears of the Kingdom Sepapa Shrine is located in the Hyrule Field region, with coordinates 0224, 1081, 0027. The nearest tower is the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower.

Tears of the Kingdom Sepapa Shrine Puzzle Solution – Backtrack

To solve the Sepapa Shrine, you will have to use the Recall ability on objects to be able to traverse over the obstacles.

For the first obstacle, use the ability on the moving platform just as it moves past down you to make it go back up. Ride the platform up to the next level.

On the next obstacle, grab the torch by the closed gate first before hopping over to the floating raft. Once you get near the torches, use your torch to set it on fire. Then, get off on the other side and burn the dried leaves using the torch to get a Strong Construct Bow.

Use Recall on the raft to get back to the other side and then set both torches near the gate on fire to open the gate.

On the final obstacle, go to the ramp on the right then grab the ball and place it to the hole near its pedestal. After a few seconds, manually move it down to the lower hole to open the first gate.

Go past the first gate and look back at the ball from where you’re at. The ball should still be within range of your Recall, so use the ability on it. Wait for the ball to get back on the upper hole to get the next gate opened. You can then head to the statues and claim the Light of Blessing to complete the shrine.

After solving the Backtrack puzzle in the Sepapa Shrine, you’re now one step closer to completing all 152 shrines in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You can also check out our other shrine guides to collect more Light of Blessing:
