Halo 6 Might Not Happen This Year

It’s been 3 years since Halo 5: Guardians came out, and we haven’t had any story downloadable contents aside from multiplayer and Forge maps. Everyone would think that Halo 6 is just around the corner and that 343 Industries started working on the next Halo mainline entry immediately after Halo 5, but it seems that the studio didn’t.

343 Industries’ Lead Writer for Halo Waypoint and Halo Channel, who is also known as GrimBrother One in the Halo community, Jeff Easterling, hinted in a blog post that there will be exciting things to happen this year but it’s ‘not those adventures’ that everyone is expecting.

2018 has arrived and with it, the promise of new fun times to be had and adventures to be embarked upon. No, not those adventures, but plenty of exciting ones regardless – some which might surprise you more than others.[/alert]

Easterling might have teased that the studio is probably working on a different IP, but it’s quite uncertain for sure. Knowing that the updates of Halo 5: Guardians is apparently slowing down, that only shows that the studio is busy developing a new game.
