    Gamescom 2020 Is Still On

With all the major events that have been cancelled this year due to the coronavirus, one would think there isn’t any big event left to look forward to. Well, it just seems there might be one that’s still standing despite all the cancellations. Gamescom 2020 set in Cologne, Germany is still set for this year August.

Despite Germany’s ban on current events, Gamescom 2020 falls just a bit short outside the timezones restricted on Cologne. The organizers recently announced on Twitter that they remain unaffected by the ban.

A short update on the current situation:

Despite the fact that the event will go on, organizers have stressed that the health and safety of all participating in the event will be closely monitored day-to-day.

Gamescom is quite a big event, with last year seeing over 600,000 participants. With E3 2020 officially cancelled, Gamescom might be one of the only big events to look forward to this year.
