PS5 To Support Almost The Top 100 PS4 Games At Its Launch

Backwards compatibility is a big deal. So big, that one of the deciding factors as to whether you get a PS5 or an Xbox Series X, is how many games of the previous generation you can play with it. During Deep Dive, Sony has just revealed more about the upcoming console’s backwards compatibility. While we don’t know what these games exactly are, they have confirmed that almost a hundred of the best PS4 games will be compatible for the PS5 when it launches.

We recently took a look at the top 100 PlayStation 4 titles as ranked by playtime, and we’re expecting almost all of them to be playable at launch on PlayStation 5

We may however suspect that Sony exclusives for the current generation will be among the list. Games such as Marvel’s Spiderman, God of War, Horizon: Zero Dawn and etc., just sound too good to pass up for the PlayStation 5.

PS5 specs will fully PS4 games to be played on 8K resolutions, 3D audio, gaming at 120Hz, with an extremely fast SSD. Whether that’s enough to entice you into buying the console to try out how much better your PS4 games will run on it, is up to you.
