Game company Sony Interactive Entertainment Asia announces the PlayStation 5 Asia Celebration Showcase.
The PS5 Asia Celebration Showcase will start on November 11 at 11pm, an hour before the official launch of the next-gen PlayStation console. SIE has invited one of the biggest acts in Asia, JJ Lin, to join in the exclusive unboxing session.
Two popular local content creators will be sharing their gameplay experiences with everyone too like DJ Joakim Gomez of Mediacorp 987 and Victoria Cheng.
There is a promo that SIE announced as well. Interested viewers can join in by watching the showcase live in order to have a chance to win rewards. The first thing they have to do is sign in their accounts and agree to their Terms and Conditions, which can be read in full here.
There are a few important things to take note before joining the promo:
Only PlayStation Network (PSN) account holders in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia are eligible to join this event. Event reward eligibility per country / region are listed below:
- PlayStation®5: PSN account holders in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore.
- PULSE 3D™ Wireless Headset: PSN account holders in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore.
- PlayStation®Plus 12-Month Membership: PSN account holders in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore.
- PS4 Space Fantasy Theme: PSN account holders in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia.
Contestants who want to join must have PSN accounts from Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia. The first three prizes can only be claimed for the first four regions, but the PS4 Space Fantasy Theme are available for the rest of the Asian account regions.
Getting the special PS4 theme is easy since it can be done by just completing the tasks indicated by the contest. Everyone who has complete the quest can get a theme voucher code on or before November 30.
The Best Comment Prize can only be won by participants from account regions Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Singapore. To make it more exciting, only four winners will be picked across Asia regions. To make it clear, only one winner for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Singapore.
The Grand Prize is a shiny, new PlayStation 5 console unit. The 2nd to 11th best comments will get a PULSE 3D Wireless Headset, which is not that bad. 12th and 111th best comments will get one PlayStation Plus 12-Month Membership voucher code, which is again not that bad of a prize especially for those who have not re-registered their subscription yet. The first two prizes will be delivered to local addresses in the four regions only.
