Game company Konami recently confirmed on the franchise’s official social media account that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and other titles will be backwards compatible with next-gen consoles.

The game company posted on the official Facebook account of Metal Gear Solid that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes, The Definitive Experience, and Metal Gear Survive will be backwards compatible on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Players can easily continue their campaigns via transferring their PS4 and Xbox One save data to their respective next-gen consoles. They can do that with Cloud or USB storage and just follow the console manufacturer’s instructions.

Konami also revealed that there is a sale on all titles right now on the PlayStation Store. The discount is up to 80 percent and will end on November 20, 2020.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes, The Definitive Experience, and Metal Gear Survive are all available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
