Players that tried out the playable demo of upcoming game Outriders are seriously collecting a lot of mods in preparation for the full game. People Can Fly Creative Director Bartek Kmita assured everyone that this will not affect the main game at all.
In an interview with PlayStation Blog, Kmita revealed that collecting mods will not become a hindrance and make the full game easily boring when it launches. He said that the mods were designed to be a crucial part of the player’s build and the biggest factor of the playstyle, but “the real fun is yet to come.”
Players will have a lot to tinker with when the full game launches. There are four more skills for each class and that will offer more combinations, skill synergies, and potential playstyles to unlock. When a new skill unlocks, there will be new tier one mods to look out for.
“… even higher degree of customization not to even mention new possibilities unlocked by tier two and three mods and the ability to move them around in crafting.” So yes, there are a lot of things to do later on.
Getting tons of mods ahead of time would be a good idea, but that is just a small part of the whole game. Expect more stuff to unlock and add to your character build later on. If what you see on the playable demo is limited, think of what you can find out when the full game launches.
Outriders will launch on April 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
