After leaks have surfaced about the PC requirements of Battlefield 2042, Electronic Arts (EA) sent out email invitations for the technical playtest along with its start dates between August 12 and August 15 with six sessions three hours of playtime each within those days.
This playtest is limited to only a select group of people chosen by the publisher, however, there will be an open beta set to happen in September later this year to test out the server’s capabilities before the game’s launch.
Furthermore, the email also states the Battlefield 2042 technical playtest will only be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms, and those who are interested to join the playtest will have to register, although this won’t guarantee a spot.
Battlefield 2042 is set to launch later this October 22, 2021, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for $69.99, while PS4, Xbox One, and PC editions will be priced at $59.99.
