Chernobylite Console Launch Delayed for a Few Weeks

At least it's still launching within the month of September.

Game publisher All in! Games and development studio The Farm 51 has recently announced that the console launch of upcoming video game Chernobylite will be delayed.

Instead of its original release September 7, 2021, it will now be launched on September 28, 2021, just a few days delayed. In the meantime, the fans can view the latest trailer, which has the press accolades the game has gained for its PC version.

According to All in! Games CEO Piotr Zygadlo, the publisher wants to set high standards for their releases and hare happy with the games they have published already for this year. Due to some unforeseen issues that the developers found with the console version, they have decided to slightly delay the launch of the game until they finally fix it. They just want to make sure that they will deliver projects in its excellent shape and push the game’s console release date a few weeks. Delaying it will make them succeed in fixing those issues.

Director of Development at The Farm 51 Wojciech Pazdur stated that “Chernobylite has been a labor of love” and they were really happy with the reception they got so far from both players and critics on PC. They completely trust All in! Games team that they could deliver the game to their fans on console. The delay was unfortunate, but it was a necessary thing to do to meet up with everyone’s expectations according to him.

Chernobylite launches digitally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for only $29.99. The physical version of the game will be available in local retailers in North America and throughout Europe for only $34.99. The PS4 physical version will have the detailed map of the Exclusion Zone, digital postcards, digital artbook “The Art of Chernobylite”, and more.
