Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has ‘Gone Gold’

YOU GOT THIS GUYS!

Developer Eidos Montreal has recently announced that their game, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, has ‘gone gold’. This announcement comes in advance of the game’s October launch.

As we’ve previously reported, Guardians of the Galaxy was supposed to have had multiplayer at one point, but the feature was eventually dropped. Considering what became of Square Enix’s and Crystal Dynamic’s Marvel’s Avengers game, it’s doesn’t take much to figure out that doing the same thing twice in a row might not have been in Square’s best interest.

In any case, if the shift back to a single player focus proves to be successful, expect more of the same moving forward. We certainly hope so.

About the game (from the game’s Steam page)

In this third-person action-adventure game, players take control of Star-Lord. (Surely, you’ve heard of the name.) Thanks to some random jerk, a series of catastrophic events is about to about to happen. It’s up to you and your oddball crew of unlikely heroes to keep it together long enough to prevent an interplanetary meltdown.

Nothing ever really goes according to plan with the Guardians, so expect to deal with the consequences of your actions. Whatever they may be. Oh, and watch your backs as you cross paths with powerful new beings and unexpected takes on iconic characters.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will launch on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch (via Cloud) Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store) on October 26th.
