Gamer for Life, an art book tribute to game developer Kevin Kanai Griffith and his fight with ASPS cancer is in its final week of its fundraising campaign.
KKG, an avid gamer, was always an inspiration and encourager to all artists he came into contact with. An art book of his favorite video games was the most logical way to both honor his memory and help raise funds for research and treatment for others who are suffering at cancer’s hand.
Top artists from the game industry such as Tyson Murphy, Luke Mancini, Paul Kwon, Dmitri Burmak, Mark Gibbons, Josh Singh, Moby Francke, Laurel Austin, Christian Lichtner, Trent Kaniuga and Trevor Claxton have all donated pieces to this cause. Gamer for Life has artists across the industry represented. Artists from Blizzard, Riot, Carbine, Activision, Microsoft, Ready at Dawn, GREE, Tencent, Turtle Rock and many more have donated art to this tribute volume.
Having already reached its funding goal, Gamers for Good, the book’s publisher and creators have added a stretch goal to upgrade all the physical books to hard cover if the new $60K stretch goal is met.
All of the proceeds of Gamer for Life’s Indiegogo campaign will be spilt between 2 wonderful charities, GameChanger and Cure ASPS. Both these organizations have ties to cancer, the first supporting families of pediatric cancer patients in partnership with the gaming community and the latter being a research foundation for the type of cancer Kevin battled with ASPS.
Gamers for Good hopes you will join them and support the campaign in its final week. Whether that means contributing to the campaign, sharing it with friends or pushing it out through your own social media network. They appreciate any and all help to do Kevin proud and help raise funds for these wonderful charities.
