A new report has confirmed that The Super Mario Bros. Movie is now the biggest game adaptation of all time.
It has been recently reported by media outlet Variety that The Super Mario Bros. Movie has now surpassed the $500 million mark at the global box office. It has now broken records and surpassed the previous record holder, Pokemon Detective Pikachu which grossed $449,762,638 in under two weeks. This new Mario game achieved more than this record within the same time span.
Currently, the game adaptation has snow earned $260.3 million domestically and $248.4 million internationally. In total, its worldwide earnings is now $508.7 million. It is now the highest-grossing film of 2024 at both the global and domestic box office.
Despite the initial bad feedback from Chris Pratt’s voice acting, the movie is still successful and has even gained more. It seems everyone is enjoying the movie and those complaints are now gone.
