Warner Bros. Games has recently announced that the popular video game LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is getting a new free DLC today.

May the 4th Be With You Event is being celebrated worldwide today and several developers from the gaming industry have been introducing their own ways of celebrating. TT Games, makers of the recently released LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, did not miss out on the fun and quickly launched a new free DLC character for the game.

As we celebrate the legacy of the Star Wars saga, this early version of Luke Skywalker was known as Luke Starkiller and based on a concept designed by Ralph McQuarrie. #LEGOStarWarsGame #Maythe4th pic.twitter.com/u0l8eUmDTb

According to a post on the official Twitter account of Warner Bros. Games, the developers has now released the free DLC character Luke Starkiller and he will be playable throughout the game starting today. Everyone who has a copy of the game can get this character right away.

Who is Luke Starkiller? Well, according to some Fan Wiki’s, this was Luke or Anakin’s original name in the Star Wars story since he was a “star killer” after blowing up the Death Star. It seems George Lucas changed it later on to the new Luke Skywalker we all know today. The design of the DLC character is actually based on the concept art submitted in the early days complete with the yellow lightsaber.

LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
