Warner Bros. Discovery has recently revealed the latest sales figures for Hogwarts Legacy which cover the three months ended on March 31, 2023.
In the first two weeks, Hogwarts Legacy has sold over 12 million copies and acquired $850 million in sales since its first launch on February 10, 2023. This has made it Warner Bros. Games’ biggest launch in its history.
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said this during the company’s earnings call transcribed via VGC, “Hogwarts Legacy has amassed more than $1 billion in retail sales and over 15 million units sold worldwide to date, and today the team is launching the game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.”
“This is our fifth $1 billion-plus gaming franchise alongside Mortal Kombat, Game of Thrones, our Lego games and DC, and there’s lots more games coming, including Hogwarts Legacy on Switch later this year.”
CEO of Global Streaming and Games JB Perrette calls Hogwarts Legacy’s PS4 and Xbox One release important for the company. He does say that the company has higher hopes for the Nintendo Switch version.
Hogwarts Legacy is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Nintendo Switch version is coming out soon.
