What’s New in Apex Legends Season 17?
Apex Legends Season 17 is introducing the new legend, Ballistic, into its roster. This is a change from the previous season where no new legends were introduced. The cast of heroes you can play as grows ever larger.
There are some changes to the map rotation in Season 17. King’s Canyon, World’s Edge, and Olympus will be available for public matchmaking in Battle Royale mode. The firing range has also gotten a massive overhaul and a new look that let’s you play around with it more.
Some significant changes to how Ranked works. You’re account now has to be level 50 to play this mode. There is no longer a split reset in between the season. Instead there is now a full seasonal reset with 10 provisional games.
Updates to the Ping System has been made as well in Season 17. Three new pings have been added that can tell your teammates to regroup, avoid an area, and hearing enemy audio from a specific location.
A new survival slot item has been introduced called the Evac Tower. It’s a portable jump tower that can offer a quick means of escaping or getting into a fight. You’ll have to position it strategically though because enemy teams can destroy it.
