Diablo IV World Tier-Focused Hotfix Removes Another Power Leveling Trick

Blizzard has released a new hotfix for Diablo IV that fixed World Tier issues and players are now complaining.

Another Day, Another Diablo IV Hotfix

Previously, Blizzard released a new hotfix that further adjusted elite monster density in dungeons. This nerfed the EXP and loot drops for such types of mobs, which disappointed many players because they felt the developers did not like them. Now, this new hotfix just made things worse as it fixes another power-leveling trick that many players would use in the game.

    Hotfix Patch Notes

Hotfix 11 for Diablo IV was recently released and it only included three bullet-point fixes. Check them out below:

    HOTFIX 11 – 1.0.2 via Wowhead

    Bug Fixes

    • Resolved an issue where players in World Tier 3 and World Tier 4 could invite others to their party that were not eligible for those higher tiers.
    • Fixed an issue where all World Tiers would display as unlocked when players may not have met the requirements.
    • Further stability and improvements.

    New Hotfix Removes Another Trick

The one fix that players should definitely look at is the first one which says “Resolved an issue where players in World Tier 3 and World Tier 4 could invite others to their party that were not eligible for those higher tiers. Previously, high-level players would invite their friends who were lower leveled to their higher world tiers which will yield a LOT of XP if they kill mobs and others. Low leveled players would easily gain levels by the millions with this trick and it is a cheat, but now this is gone with the hotfix.

    Play Fair?

It seems Blizzard wants its players to complete the whole game first before they get invited to the higher world tiers. The good news is that they only need to complete the game and they could unlock World Tier 3 and 4. Unfortunately, this will now make it a bit harder to level up especially when they hit soft level cap 50. Past that, it will be a slog to gain XP.

Another power leveling trick gone. What will Blizzard think of next?

Diablo IV is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
