Does Final Fantasy 16 have Romance?
Yes, expect to see a lot of Romance in Final Fantasy 16. The romance feature will be presented through cutscenes while you play as the protagonist, Clive Rosfield, and meet other major characters. You’ll also get to see the onset of a new romantic couple in the Final Fantasy series with Clive and Jill Warrick.
Despite Clive’s quest for revenge, Clive and Jill will have plenty of romantic scenes to feast on during your playthrough. There will also be romance between the game’s villains. These romantic scenes will focus on one female character, Benedikta Harman, and her interactions with Barnabas Tharmr and Hugo Kupka.
Final Fantasy 16 Romance Options: How it Works
Although there are romantic scenes included in the story, there is technically no romance options in Final Fantasy 16. This means that players cannot engage in Romantic relationships with specific characters of their choosing. FF16’s story is pretty linear, and choosing a companion you want to go with does not change or add to the predetermined romance.
As such, Final Fantasy 16 Romance usually only takes place during cutscenes. Although it might be unfortunate…for some, there might be romanceable characters added in future updates, so don’t lose hope.
Final Fantasy 16 Clive and Jill Romance: Do they end up together?
Yes, Clive and Jill will end up together. The two end up on an island, naked for whatever reason (it’s for you to find out) after being defeated by Barnabas in a later quest. They grew closer as they admitted their feelings for one another, and you’ll get to see one of the spiciest scenes the game has to offer during this cutscene. Additionally, as the story’s conclusion draws near, Clive and Jill tell each other, “I love you,” before facing off against the final boss.
That explains the FF16 romance options between characters. If you want to know how we think about the game, check out our review on Final Fantasy 16.
