Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition, an updated version of the original game just got spotted online.
According to Twitter user @MACOS380, the US Entertainment Software Ratings Board has recently classified the unannounced Beyond Good and Evil 20th Anniversary Edition. It has been listed as coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.

“This is an action-adventure game in which players assume the role of a reporter accompanied by a pig-like companion investigating a conspiracy on the planet of Hillys. From a third-person perspective, players explore fantasy locations, take photos of evidence, solve puzzles, and fight robot and alien enemies.”
This would be a better alternative for fans who have been waiting for Beyond Good and Evil 2 for a long time since there has not been any news about it lately. Multiple key individuals have already left the development team and the recent news about the game was not in pre-production. It seems to be in development hell and who knows when an official announcement will be made.
No official word yet from Ubisoft to confirm or deny this new version of Beyond Good and Evil.
