Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Pre-Order Bonuses Explained

Pre-ordering Marvel’s Spider Man 2 entitles you do bonus content. Insomniac is giving out some awesome incentives for you to buy the game early and you might be interested in seeing if they’re worth it.

If you aren’t convinced to pre-order Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we don’t blame you since pre-ordering games nowadays isn’t a good way to spend money. But we did get an early review code courtesy of Sony and we can vouch from our Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 review that this game is more than worth it.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Pre-Order Bonuses

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is releasing this October 20 and these pre-order bonuses will make playing it at launch time even sweeter. So what’s coming your way if you pre-order?

Early Unlock Suits

  • Arachknight Suit for Peter Parker with three color variations.
  • Shadow-Spider Suit for Miles Morales with three color variations.

The pre-order bonuses give you two early unlock suits with three different color variations for our heroic spider duo. You’ll eventually be able to unlock these two suits for Miles and Peter in the game but you’ll get them earlier if you pre-ordered any edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Like from before, the sequel carries out the fun tradition of unlocking new suits for our main protagonists. Both Miles and Peter could unlock new suits for their respective games but this is the first time we can play as both of them simultaneously. Each of these suits have their own special perks as well and have their comfortable place in the history of Spider-Man’s lore. If you’ve read the Infinity Wars comic, you’ll recognize Peter’s Arachknight Suit which is a blend of his usual style and Moon Knight’s. Although Miles’ Shadow-Spider Suit has no such history, the design clearly takes inspiration from his mentor’s.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature many suits to unlock and unlocking two right off the start will save you some time from collecting every suit in the game.

Web Grabber Gadget

One of the new gadgets that Miles and Peter can access is the Web Grabber Gadget which can be unlocked early for you if you pre-ordered Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Don’t worry on missing out on this gadget if you’re too late to pre-order as it can be unlocked much like the two early unlock suits can.

Insomniac has added new gadgets for our heroes to combat the new villains in this sequel. With Kraven, Lizard, and Venom clearly being part of the picture, you’re going to need all the gadgets and their upgrades to keep New York safe. Having the Web Grabber Gadget unlocked earlier just means you can kick bad guy butt a lot faster.

Bonus Skill Points

You also get 3 bonus skill points to spend on skills as part of the pre-order package. Having these early to invest on Peter and Miles’ skills will prove to be very useful as they take on various criminal factions in both Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Like previously, one of the best parts is watching our heroes grow stronger as they gain access to new skills. Part of how long it’ll take to beat Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 comes from fighting various criminal gangs in New York City to level up and gain skill points.

With these pre-order bonuses, you’ll get the ideal experience when Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches this week. If you live in New Zealand or got the game on that region, you’ll be getting Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 early before everyone else in the world.
