At the end of August 2024, Bandai Namco will be releasing Gundam Breaker 4 for the major consoles. 6 years after the release of Gundam Breaker 3, gunpla fans have patiently awaited the arrival of this new game and now they are hyped for its epic return. Recently, new details about the game have emerged and fans will be surprised by the amount of content this game will have.
Gundam Breaker 4 Gameplay Details
The latest in the Gundam Breaker series, a creative and destructive cooperative action game where you fight with your own “Gunpla”! Combine various parts from various Gunpla kits as there are a total of 250 Gunpla kits available in the game. Make them cute, cool, or unorthodox. Pilot your gunplas and take on missions to collect other parts to customize your kit.
Gundam Breaker 4 Story & Characters
Gunpla Battle Simulator, which has been enjoyed by many players for a long time, has been rebranded as the GUNPLA Battle Blaze: Beyond Borders, commonly known as G.B.B.B.B, and a beta test is being conducted for the official launch of the service. As the main protagonist of the game, players will meet Tao, a knowledgeable but inexperienced SD Gundam user, and Rin, a beginner who hates to lose. All 3 of these characters will team up as a group and will face off against various fighters.
Tao
VA: Taichi Kusano
Although he is a joker, he has a strong bond with his teammates, especially with the protagonist. He loves Gunpla so much and has complete knowledge about G.B.B.B.B but is just a beginner. His fighting style is passive, and he prefers SD-type units.
Rin
VA: Yuuki Takada
She has a bright personality, is caring, and cares for her friends. She has a strong competitive spirit and a strong sense of adventure. She has an aggressive fighting style. Although she is a beginner who just started playing G.B.B.B.B., she overcomes many obstacles with her enthusiasm and determination.
Reco
VA: Tomoyo Kurosawa
An AI character who hosts events and reports the news in G.B.B.B.B. Although he sometimes makes airheaded remarks, she does not show his AI side and manages events with her energy, cuteness, and hard work, which has earned her the support of many fans. She often appears at events with the Mr. Gunpla set, and his witty exchanges with Mr. have become a famous feature in G.B.B.B.B.

Mr. Gunpla, who provided commentary at events in Gundam Breaker 3, continues to provide commentary and MC services at events in G.B.B.B.B. New Gunplas To Be Added in Gundam Breaker 4
Since this is a new Gundam breaker game, there are bound to be new Gundam kits that will make an appearance in the game. Recently, it was revealed that 4 new kits will make their debut and will impress gunpla fans. The 4 kits are the following:
- XXXG-01L2 Gundam Livelance Heaven
- This is a Gunpla that appears in the ONA Gundam Breaker Battlogue and the video game Gundam Breaker Mobile. Based primarily on the Gundam Deathscythe Hell, this Gunpla is customized with a design and color palette reminiscent of an angel, the opposite of the original’s God of Death motif. When deployed the active cloak now resembles a six-winged seraphim.
- ZGMF-X20A-PF Gundam Perfect Strike Freedom
- This is a Gunpla that appears in the ONA Gundam Breaker Battlogue and the video game Gundam Breaker Mobile. A custom Gunpla that combines several elements of the two main Cosmic Era powerhouses, GAT-X105+AQM/E-YM1 Perfect Strike Gundam with the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam, merged into a single Gunpla. Its Multiple Assault Striker allows the Perfect Strike Freedom to equip the Aile Striker high mobility unit, the Sword Striker close combat unit, and the Launcher Striker artillery unit while integrating their features.
- ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior
- This is a mobile suit used by ZAFT introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. The ZAKU Warrior was based on the ZAKU Mass Production Trial Type, a nuclear-powered mobile suit created by ZAFT after the First Alliance-PLANT War for mass production
- ZGMF-1000/A1 Gunner ZAKU Warrior
- This is a variant of the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior equipped with the Wizard System’s EX-A1 Gunner Wizard on its back. The Gunner ZAKU Warrior is specialized for artillery strikes, and its main weapon is the M1500 “Orthros” high-energy long-range beam cannon mounted on the Gunner Wizard.
Gundam Breaker 4 is set to be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam). Pre-orders are now available online and in local game stores worldwide.
