SEGA has announced that the iconic Crewmate from the hit game Among Us is now a playable character in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble on Nintendo Switch. This unexpected crossover brings the spacewalking bean to the colorful world of monkey-in-a-ball mayhem.
Players can now guide the Crewmate through both Adventure and Battle modes, swapping out the traditional banana for pizza as their collectible of choice. The Crewmate’s bio describes them as a “suspicious spacefarer from another planet” taking a break from their usual tasks to roll around. This marks a fun departure for the character, bringing their distinctive look and feel to a completely different gameplay experience.
To access the Crewmate, players will need to update their game to the latest version (Ver. 2.10). This downloadable content adds a fresh twist to the Super Monkey Ball formula, offering players a new way to experience the game’s challenging levels.
But that’s not all! Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble also receives a new stage in its Battle Mode. “Scattered Stones” joins the Ba-BOOM! rotation, presenting players with a perilous ancient ruin.
