Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially announced Gundam Rogue Orbit, a brand-new action game set in an original Gundam universe, with a planned release in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The announcement was accompanied by the game’s debut trailer, alongside the launch of its official website and social media channels. Developed as a high-mobility action experience, Gundam Rogue Orbit promises fast-paced, cinematic combat that offers a fresh take on the long-running Gundam franchise.
Set in a new universe separate from previous Gundam stories, the game places players in the role of RE-X, the pilot of the powerful Gundam Helix. As humanity faces an unknown threat, RE-X joins a crew of unlikely soldiers fighting to protect what remains of civilization.
Bandai Namco also introduced Sophia, a mysterious young woman who closely monitors RE-X throughout the story. While details remain limited, the publisher suggests she will play a significant role in the game’s narrative.
The reveal trailer showcases high-speed mech battles and large-scale action sequences, highlighting the game’s emphasis on mobility and cinematic combat. While gameplay details have yet to be fully revealed, Bandai Namco says players can expect a bold new interpretation of the Gundam formula.
Additional information about Gundam Rogue Orbit is expected to be shared in the coming months as development continues.
