Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced Tales of Eternia Remastered as the latest entry in the publisher’s ongoing Tales of Remastered Project. The classic action RPG will launch on October 15, 2026 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S, followed by a PC release on October 16.
The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer showcasing the remastered version of one of the most beloved entries in the long-running Tales series.
Originally released more than two decades ago, Tales of Eternia follows Reid Hershel and Farah Oersted, whose lives are forever changed after meeting a mysterious girl named Meredy. As they uncover the truth behind the impending “Grand Fall”—a catastrophic collision between the worlds of Inferia and Celestia—they embark on a journey to prevent disaster and save both realms.
The remaster preserves the original game’s story and fast-paced combat while introducing a variety of modern enhancements. Players can once again experience the Aggressive Linear Motion Battle System (A-LMBS), which combines real-time action combat with powerful Artes and party-based attacks.
Bandai Namco has also added several quality-of-life features designed to make the adventure more accessible for modern audiences. These include options to disable destination icons and enemy encounters, a high-speed mode for auto-battles, and the ability to switch between updated visuals and sound effects or settings that recreate the atmosphere of the original release.
The publisher says the remaster aims to preserve the emotional experience that made Tales of Eternia a fan favorite while making it easier than ever for both newcomers and longtime fans to revisit the adventure.
Tales of Eternia Remastered launches on October 15, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S, with the PC version arriving on October 16. Physical editions will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch and PS5.
