Game company Sony Interactive Entertainment has recently confirmed that it has found out the primary suspects behind the leaks of The Last of Us Part 2, and it seems they are not everyone thought it was.

The Last of Us Part 2 leakers NOT disgruntled employees

Sony has officially identified the primary individuals behind the leakage of footage that revealed major spoilers of TLOU2. However, the company clarified that these guys are NOT affiliated with Sony Interactive Entertainment or Naughty Dog, as many speculated were.

When asked of the identities, the company did not make any further comment about it. It stated that the information is still under investigation and cannot be shared at the moment.

For those who are uninitiated, a controversy was going on about a major leakage of big story spoilers for the upcoming video game. It was spread so wide across the internet that many fans and gamers were angered of its leakage. The information that was leaked included gameplay, cutscenes, and developer menus.

These leaks were revealed after Naughty Dog decided to delay the game indefinitely, which is now not happening due to the announcement of its new release date: June 19. There were rumors that the ones who were behind the leaks was disgruntled Naughty Dog employee. This is now false with the official announcement from Sony.
