Square Enix has recently announced the official Marvel’s Avengers Spider Man release date. They also revealed the upcoming patch 2.2 with the other new content coming with it.
The upcoming update will bring the PlayStation exclusive DLC character Spider-Man to the Sony consoles on November 30, 2021. It will be included in the upcoming patch 2.2 together with other contents like a new four-player Raid and the villain Klaw.
Aside from the new Raid and Spider-Man, the update also brings some new and improved systems like the Shipments, Power-Level Increase, and Gear Upgrading.
Shipments will feature a new way to earn cosmetics, resources, and other items strictly via gameplay. This was a highly requested option from the gaming community. Each Shipment will cost 500 units and offers nearly 250 possible items with a small chance of rewarding a premium Outfit that is not available via any other means of acquisition. They can get it by chance or by 100 shipments claimed.
Power Level cap will be increased from 150 to 175. Players who want to get the best gear will now need to complete the toughest challenge, which is the new four-player Klaw Raid: Discordant Sound.
Players who want to upgrade their gear can now recycle gear that has high level to upgrade their current gear that they like to use. There are some limitations though.
Spider-Man will be having its PlayStation exclusive event called Spider-Man: With Great Power Hero Event. Players will be able to experience the story of the wall crawler through unlockable challenges that have been inserted throughout the Avengers Initiative. Peter Parker now partners up with the Avengers to stop AIM from acquiring technology that could make their synthoid army unstoppable.
Marvel’s Avengers is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
