Crystal Dynamics offers a free Iron Man Suit skin for Marvel’s Avengers as it nears its server closure.
After Crystal Dynamics officially confirmed that the online servers for Marvel’s Avengers will be closing down for good, it has now started giving away some freebies to the loyal fans who have stayed with them for all this time. This is one of the few free content drops that fans will be able to get as the end of its servers is coming close.
On the official Twitter account of Marvel’s Avengers, Crystal Dynamics said that as a thank you to all the players who have enjoyed the game since launch, the Iron Man’s Variable Threat Response Battle Suit will be available when Update 2.8 goes live this week. This will be available to players who at least have gotten one Trophy/Achievement before it April 1, 2023.
The skin is basically War Machine, which has black and grey color schemes, just like in many War Machine variants. Also, by March 31, 2023, players will be able to redeem all cosmetic content for free.
Some speculate that since the new Iron Man suit really looks like War Machine, it is possible that the latter was going to be a playable character at a later time, if the servers were not planned to shut down.
Aside from this new announcement, the voice actor of Ms. Marvel also dropped a message for the loyal fans of the game.
Marvel’s Avengers is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
