    Activision Has Cut Off Ties with Call of Duty Voice Actor Ghost

    Game company Activision has recently announced that it has officially cut off ties with a voice actor that was involved in Call of Duty games.

    In COD Warzone and Modern Warfare 2019, Jeff Leach was the voice actor for character Ghost. Since the whole cast was changed for the 2019 version, he was the one to fill in the shoes and also voiced as an operator in Season 2 of the game.

    Leach’s sexist comments resurfaced recently online after streamers and the gaming community were questioning his connections to the gaming industry. This is where the posts appeared and it seems Activision had to take action.

    The sexist comments in question? It was a Twitter thread that posted a clip where Leach did sexist comments on streamer ZombiUnicorn way back in 2017. There were also other comments that happened recently on Facebook Gaming.

    [1/3] Jeff Leach Misogynist?!
     @FacebookGaming Partner, Voice of @CallofDuty "Ghost" @Activision

    Serious personalised intrusive sexism. Influence. Contempt. Violence! Serial offender! @TheZombiUnicorn

    ZombiUnicorn has recently replied with her own video response on Twitter and questioned why Leach is still partners with Facebook and Activision despite these accusations.

    I've took some time to address this situation in a thoughtful way & add my voice in the rising concern with how companies like @facebookgaming, @activision & @callofduty continue to overlook prejudiced malicious behaviors by cis white men like Jeff Leachhttps://t.co/cUYd4qkQE6 pic.twitter.com/J8XnH4WFbO

    Media outlet CharlieIntel got a response from Activision on May 8, 2021. It was a statement that announced it has ended their working relations with Leach and condemn all of his sexist remarks.

    Sexism has no place in our industry, our games or in society. Activision is no longer working with Jeff Leach. We strongly condemn these remarks. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe experience for all players.

    No word yet on Leach. Facebook has not made an announcement.
