Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have released a brand-new co-op showcase trailer for Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, offering a closer look at the four-player cooperative action ahead of the game’s launch on August 25, 2026.
Alongside the new trailer, the developers also confirmed that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 later this fall, following its release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC.
The sequel expands the original game’s co-op experience by supporting up to four Colonial Marines as they battle through some of the deadliest locations in the Alien universe. Players will face smarter Xenomorphs, larger swarms, and increasingly dangerous encounters while making use of each class’s unique abilities and the new fully customizable Specialist class.
Daybreak and Cold Iron Studios also reiterated details about the game’s available editions. The Standard Edition will retail for $49.99, while the 40th Anniversary Premium Edition will be available for $69.99, including the base game and two themed DLC packs.
The Premium Edition features the Ripley’s Hive Exterminator Pack, inspired by Ellen Ripley’s appearance in Aliens (1986), and Herk Mondo’s Pest Pack, based on the comic book character and featuring exclusive cosmetics and weapons.
Additionally, players can purchase the Rain’s Jackson’s Star Pack separately for $9.99. Inspired by Alien: Romulus, the DLC includes Rain Carradine’s signature outfit, a modified Cryo weapon, exclusive perks, augments, decals, and additional customization options.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 launches on August 25, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version scheduled to arrive later this fall.
