After several political posts have been seen online featuring the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons, game company Nintendo has now updated its Code of Conduct.
The Code of Conduct for New Horizons establishes the rules for playing the game and prevents maliciousness done to each other like “Do Not Deceive Others” and such rules. It has been updated after some organizations and businesses have used this platform to market politics.
Nintendo has now asked these organizations that use the game for marketing ends to “refrain from bringing politics” to it. This continues from the first part of the rule which says: Please refrain from using the Game inappropriately or creating any content within the Game that would be considered vulgar, discriminatory, or offensive.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will now stay child-friendly and will not involve any politics or anything related to it.
