Apex Legends Season 16: Revelry is almost upon us. Set to launch on February 14, 2023, players can download the Season 16 update and be among the first to drop into the latest season. Here is the Apex Legends Season 16 download size for PS4 and PS5.
Apex Legends Season 16 Download Size
The Apex Legends Season 16 download size is somewhere between 25 GB to 45 GB depending on which platform you’re playing on. This is a large update and will take some time to download depending on how fast your internet connection is. The Season 16 download size also depends on whether you’re playing in the latest gen consoles.
If it’s been a while since you last downloaded any update for Apex Legends, you may get a bigger download size than expected. This is because the game may be downloading files from previous updates that it didn’t have the chance to.
What is the Apex Legends Season 16 PS5 Download Size?
The Apex Legends Season 16 (version 2.17) PS5 download size is 43.374 GB. It’s significantly less than its previous gen counterpart. This could possibly due to the fact that Respawn doesn’t have to worry too much about how the PS5 catches up with other platforms.
What is the Apex Legends Season 16 PS4 Download Size?
The Apex Legends Season 16 (version 2.17) PS4 download size is 43.503 GB, which is slightly higher than the PS5. We can’t say for sure why there’s a difference between the two consoles but this may be due to the PS4 being old hardware and Respawn having to include necessary files to ensure it doesn’t lag behind.
Is there a new Legend in Season 16?
No, Apex Legends Season 16 will drop without a new legend. Respawn Entertainment usually marks every new season with the introduction of a new hero, but not this time.
This could have been a good time to transfer the mobile exclusive legends since the announcement of Apex Legends Mobile’s termination. However we’re going into the new season without a new face to welcome into the roster. Sorry for those looking for a new charismatic name to remember.
What’s new in Apex Legends Season 16?
The biggest changes in Apex Legends Season 16 are probably the new and redesigned classes for each legend. Respawn Entertainment has made some serious changes to how each legend now functions which changes the role they play for team compositions.
Arenas will no longer be present in Season 16, instead being replaced by a mix-tape playlists which features a rotating roster of limited time game modes. However mix-tape will drop on March 6, 2023 much later than the debut of the new season. The new game mode, Team Deathmatch, features a 6v6 fast respawn where two teams compete to be the first to win two rounds.
