In a recent social media post of his personal account, Assassin’s Creed Creative Director Ashraf Ismail steps down due to recent allegations.
On his recent Twitter post, Ismail stated that he will step down from his beloved project to properly deal with his personal issues in his life. These allegations have affected his family and his own lives and he apologized to everyone who was hurt because of this.
A report revealed that the creative director was alleged of cheating on his wife and lying about his marital status. It was part of the fresh wave of #metoo allegations, which has spread to the games industry and many others.
Ubisoft made a statement:
Ashraf Ismail is stepping down from the project to take a leave of absence. The development team is committed to delivering a great game in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
