Ubisoft has recently revealed the biggest additions with the coming of Year 2, which is Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Crossover Stories and the revelation of the Ragnarok expansion.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Crossover Stories – Kassandra Returns
This will be a free crossover DLC, which will let the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla meet up with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Both will be available on their own games and will launch tomorrow, December 14, 2021. These stories will start in Odyssey, which will begin with Kassandra’s post-game story, where she is now an immortal and looking for the Isu artefacts. Afterwards, this journey of hers will lead to Valhalla where Eivor will meet up with Kassandra somewhere in the Scottish island of Skye.
Dawn of Ragnarok Expansion
The next big content coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is Dawn of Ragnarok. It will arrive on March 10, 2022 bringing tons of new stuff to enjoy with 35 hours of game time to play. It will feature a map that is one third the size of the base game’s England. According to Ubisoft, this is the most significant expansion that they have ever created.
This will be the expansion for the mythological side of Valhalla where Asgard and Jotunheim was on the base game, but this one will focus on the dwarven realm of Svaralfheim. In this realm, the Muspelheim warriors have invaded, which will bring more enemies to fight and godlike powers to learn. Players will expect some new abilities like infusing weapons with elemental powers, teleportation arrows, and the ability to resurrect enemies to become allies. There is also a new Divine gear tier to check out.
The story will be focused on two characters: Odin and his son Baldr. They will try to defeat the demon Surtur as he is the final boss in this expansion.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
