After a month since it launched worldwide, video game Assassin’s Creed Valhalla now offers XP boosts.
The controversial option has been around since Odyssey and now it is back with a vengeance in Valhalla. This was introduced in a new update that Ubisoft released recently to the game. The boost offers a 50 percent increase to XP progression and can be used in all save files under one account. According to the official UK store of Ubisoft, 1000 Helix Credits plus 50 bonus costs £8.59 (more or less $11). There are more options to choose from ranging from 500 Helix Credits to a whopping 5000 Helix Credits plus 1600 bonus.
Game Informer recently got a statement from a Ubisoft representative explaining the return of microtransactions. Here’s their statement:
As more and more post-launch content becomes available, we want to give the option to players to advance their progression. Utilities allow players who lack the time to fully explore the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to be able to acquire the game’s best gear, as well as other items, by accelerating their progress. For instance, these players can purchase maps that uncover some interesting locations in the world, but would still have to visit and play them to get their rewards.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
