Atomic Heart Neuromodule Bug – What is it and How to Fix

Atomic Heart is a good action survival game… when it works. Unfortunately, there are a few bugs that have persisted since the launch of the game. One of the more egregious ones is the bug that doesn’t allow you to collect Neuromodules.

According to users online, the Neuromodule bug is most prominent after finishing a boss encounter. The bug occurs when users try to collect their well-fought-over resources. For whatever reason, when the neuromodule has been extracted from the boss’s body, it would just lingers in the air indefinitely.

The consequence of this is that the player will be denied upgrade opportunities on both the character and their weapons. That truly sucks.

    Atomic Heart Neuromodule Bug Fix

As of February 25th and 26th, developer Mundfish released PATCH 1.3.3.1 (for Steam). The PC-exclusive path implements a system that apparently fixes all environment-stuck issues. This includes addressing the Neuromodule Bug.

As of the writing of this article, we currently have not heard any anecdotal evidence that the patch is working as intended. Nor do we know when the patch will go live on consoles. Hopefully, the patch does what’s it supposed to do.

Additionally, the developer has announced a list of anticipated updates that will come along in an upcoming patch. These include:

    • Various achievement fixes
    • FOV settings
    • UI and subtitles size settings

If the patch has yet to fix your issue, you may want to try the following:

    • Make sure you have enough room in your inventory. In some cases, it looks like not having enough space in your inventory is the reason why the Neuromodules are not being picked up. If you fail into this category, it is advisable to have a few empty slots available before attempting to loot enemies.
    • If all else fails, you might not have any other choice but to restart the game from scratch. This is not a favorable solution but sometimes it is necessary.

And that’s all the information we have right now on the Neuromodule bug in Atomic Heart. If the need arises, we will update this article should anything significant come up. Good luck out there, Agent P-3.
