Atomic Heart is a survival FPS game where ammo is limited and enemies literally repair each other right in front of your eyes. Given those considerable hurdles, having the best weapons on hand will go a long way in ensuring a successful mission in Facility 3826.
In this guide, we’ll go over all the Atomic Heart weapons you can find. There are a total of 12 weapon types to find in the game. The modding system is flexible to the point that you can reallocate some resources in case you want to try another combat style. For more specialized mods, however, you’ll have to find them at the end of Testing Grounds.
When it comes to weapon diversity, there is a good balance between ranged and melee options. Ranged weapons get primary weapon types and options for energy weapons that are there so you don’t blow through all your ammo. Melee options include variations for damage, swing speed, and range.
How to find weapons in Atomic Heart
When you start the game, you do not have access to any other weapon besides a fire axe. And while you get a handful of weapons through story progression, the vast majority of weapons are obtained by finding blueprints in storage chests. It should be noted that the chests themselves are not marked in any special way, you’ll just be surprised to find a new weapon has been unlocked. The same also goes for that weapon’s ammunition. Yes, you have to find the ammo blueprint in order to craft them. Bummer, right?

This Weapons list is a work in progress. We'll make sure to update this page as soon as more weapons become available.
And that’s all the weapons you can find in Atomic Hearts. And a couple of reminders before ending it here: you can get all resources back after upgrading a weapon and you will not be able to get back a weapon you have scrapped unless you have the blueprints for it.
Oh, in case you missed it, we have a review for Atomic Heart out right now.
