Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC – Story Expansion Details

Dive into the Na'vi lore with the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC and explore the uncharted Western Frontier continent.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open-world action-adventure game set in the Western Frontier with more to give in the future in the form of DLCs. Ubisoft is determined to explore as much about the Na’vi lore, including the local wildlife, that they’re giving us more content to dive into.

Coming this December 7th, Frontiers of Pandora will allow players to explore the Western Frontier continent, which has never before been seen in the movies or other entries into the franchise. There’s still a lot about Pandora that remains to be explored, and Massive Entertainment is giving us more to dive into than what’s available in the base game.

All Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora currently has two story DLCs in its roadmap and one bonus quest that’s coming as soon as the game releases.

  • Familiar Echoes – Bonus quest that’s launching with the game if you got the Gold or Ultimate Edition. Sabotage a highly secure RDA base from the inside by hacking into their classified data.
  • The Sky Breaker – Set to launch in Summer 2024, this story expansion centers around a mysterious shadow in the sky that is threatening Na’vi clans during celebrations and festival games. The Resource Administration Development are up to no good again.
  • Secrets of the Spires – Set to launch in Fall 2024, this story expansion is all about aerial combat using the Banshee. You’ll also get a new canyon region to explore which is perfect for aerial traversal.

If you purchased the Gold edition of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’re entitled to the Season Pass, which also includes these two story DLCs and a bonus quest, Familiar Echoes. There are other Frontiers of Pandora editions on offer with pre-order bonuses should you buy the game early; however, only two DLCs regarding story expansion are set to be made.

Frontiers of Pandora is acknowledged as canon, so everything that you find is considered a legit part of the Avatar universe. Considering that the entire game is set in the Western Frontier, which has never before been explored, there’s a lot Massive Entertainment can work with without touching what happens in the movies.

The two story DLCs will be coming around 2024, which gives us plenty of time to explore the Western Frontier as it is. It’s already a pretty large place, which is going to take up some free storage. It’s teaming with wildlife who’ll make an impact when they’re running away or fighting back for their lives.

Not only that, but PS5 owners will get a free Aranahe Warrior Pack, which includes a character and weapon cosmetic set. For those playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, you’ll have to buy the pack separately once the game releases.
