Battlefield 2042 Plus System – How to Change Weapon Attachments

Here's how you can change up your weapon attachments easily in the middle of a gunfight.

The upcoming Battlefield 2042 Open Beta is just around the corner and with it a free taste of what to expect in the full game when it launches on November 19, 2021. It will offer all of its awesome features like 128 players in one massive map, the new Specialist Operator system, calling in vehicles while in the game, and the new Battlefield 2042 Plus System.

Here is a little explanation of what the Plus System is and how you can change weapon attachments while playing.

What is the Plus System in Battlefield 2042?

The new Battlefield 2042 Plus System allows players to make changes to their weapon attachments on the fly or mid-game. This was actually highlighted in the early gameplay trailer where the player made changes to his weapon attachments while still in the middle of a match. He changed his foregrip, magazine, and optics rather easily.

With the Plus System, this will make players change their playstyle as quickly as they can. It makes everyone unpredictable but at the same time more of a challenge and convenient. No more need to “die first to change loadouts” now since you can just make changes on the fly.

Game developer DICE has described the new system to be “Intuitive, easy to use, and best of all fast. With how the Plus System looks, it seems changing weapon attachments while in the middle of the match will be easier to do.

How to Use the Plus System

DICE has already shared how to easily use the Plus System in Battlefield 2042, just a bit ahead of the upcoming Open Beta. Here is how you do it:

  1. PC: You just have to hold down the T key, left click to select the weapon attachment of your choice, and then release the T key in order to equip the weapon attachment that you chose.
  2. PlayStation: On the PlayStation consoles, you need to press and hold the L1 shoulder button, then press the directional buttons to select the desired weapon attachment, and then release the L1 should button to equip.
  3. Xbox: On the Xbox consoles, you just press and hold the LB shoulder button, then press the directional buttons to select the weapon attachment you want to equip, and then release the LB shoulder button to complete the changes.

If you press and hold the button/key, it will pop up the Plus System menu, which is actually quite convenient for those who want to quickly make changes. Rather than bringing up the menu window that eats up all of the screens, the Plus System allows players to change weapon attachments and still watch out for their surroundings, well the ones that they can see on screen. When they finish choosing the attachment, just release the button/key and you are ready to go back to the fight.

Just be careful though since you are still vulnerable while changing your weapon attachments since you are just there in a stationary position. It would be best to hide somewhere with good defenses and can give you a couple of seconds for you to make changes.
