Bayonetta 3 Supervising Director Hideki Kamiya has recently teased that the sequel Bayonetta 4 is already in the works.
After the bad feedback PlatinumGames got for completing Bayonetta 3, Kamiya has now revealed that a sequel is now in the works. This was an unexpected development, according to him. He also said that Bayonetta 3’s ending was not conveyed correctly to the fans hence the bad reaction to the ending.
“I didn’t think it was unexpected at all, but it seems that the ending of Bayo 3 wasn’t conveyed correctly to everyone, so I think Bayo 4 will be an unexpected development for everyone,” Kamiya said recently on his personal Twitter account. “After all, when Bayo 4 comes out, I’m sure there will be people who say, ‘You added that as an afterthought’, so I’ll say it now.”
Kamiya did not say any further details yet like the possible release date and the current status of the sequel’s development. All we have now is the confirmation of a sequel.
Bayonetta 3 is out now on Nintendo Switch.
