Blizzard’s Survival Game Development Team Already Doubled

Also, BlizzCon is coming back!

Blizzard President Mike Ybarra recently revealed that there have been changes in the team behind the development of the untitled survival game.

Ybarra recently posted his end-of-year update sharing all of the “big” achievements and developments at the company in the last year. He revealed some interesting points in the blog post, like the changes happening in the team currently working on that still-untitled survival game. He said that it has already doubled in size which means it is already in good hands with a big force behind it.

The upcoming survival game is being led by Dan Hay, the guy who was executive producer on Ubisoft’s Far Cry series in the past. According to a job posting earlier this year, it will be available on PC and “A place full of heroes we have yet to meet, stories yet to be told, and adventures yet to be lived.”

Another note Ybarra mentioned was the return of BlizzCon. There were some “issues” in the previous years, making Blizzard pause their plans for its return, but it seems they are pushing for its comeback soon. He did not share any details about its return, but he said there will be a new announcement early next year to discuss the details. There is also a new executive producer for the event, April McKee.

The untitled survival game is still in development.
