The annual title of Flamekeeper is up for grabs yet again this year, and it seems like it is easier than ever before to obtain. The Solstice event offers the perfect opportunity for Guardians to create the armor set of their dreams through the event’s stat infusion. Let’s also not forget about the unique weapons that you can only get god rolls once a year.

In this Flamekeeper Title guide for Solstice of Heroes 2023, we’ll walk you through each of the challenges and the best ways of doing them. Don’t worry about the event card stuff. All really need for the event are the kindling and the materials that come with completing each challenge.

Solstice 2023 Event Challenges

Bashing Success: Complete the Bonfire Bash activity.

  • For this challenge, all you need to do is to complete more or less a dozen Bonfire Bash activities right to the end where the bonfire is lit and the rewards handed out. It shouldn’t take too long since these activities take less than 10 minutes to complete on average.

Good Ignite: Defeat Ignition Carriers in the Bonfire Bash.

  • Defeat 15 Ignition Carriers to complete this challenge. You don’t need to be the one to land the final blow. The kill credit goes to the entire fireteam.

Torch the Taken: Defeat Prismatic Taken in the Bonfrie Bash.

  • Taken are going to be part of the activity no matter which faction you face. This challenge asks you to defeat 15 Prismatic Taken wherever they spawn. This is one of the easier challenges since Taken will always try to interrupt the event during different points of the celebration.

Fuel for the Fire I-III: Stoke the flames in the Bonfire Bash.

  • A stacking challenge that starts from 35 to 70 to 100 ignition orbs thrown. The most ignitions your fireteam can make in one challenge is 30 before forcing the final encounter to start early. If you keep up the pace, you can get all three challenges done in 4 attempts.

Ash Tray: Collect Silver Ash.

  • Collect a total of 350 Silver Ash. The more Silver Leaves you earn, the more Silver Ash you get at the end of the activity. The most you can get in one activity is 100 Silver Ash. It won’t take long to complete this one.

Like Wildfire: Defeat targets anywhere in the system. Defeating Guardians awards bonus progress.

  • This challenge doesn’t give any specific numbers to reach. Completing a couple of Bonfire Bash runs and getting kills in the Crucible is your best bet to finishing this challenge quickly. You can also do the Shuro Chi farm to get this one done in one fell swoop.

Superlative: Defeat targets with Super abilities.

  • Another one that doesn’t give you an exact target. Roaming Supers is a good way to get rack up a kill count. Being near other Guardians in Bonfire Bash and Vanguard Ops recharges your Super faster.

Forged in Flame: Defeat opposing Guardians in any activity.

  • This challenge requires you to defeat 10 Guardians in either the Crucible or Gambit. You can get this done in one or two Crucible matches.

Hand Lighter: Defeat targets with Hand Cannons, Shotguns, and Rocket Launchers.

  • You don’t necessarily need to have all three equipped at once to make progress on this challenge. We managed to do this one with just a hand cannon. Not the Something New from the event, mind you. Though, having the right type of weapon in each slot will help speed things up.

Burn Them Down: Defeat bosses anywhere in the system.

  • You need to defeat 40 bosses in any activity to complete this challenge. The easiest way of doing this is through Bonfire Bash. Just keep doing the activity and you should reach 40 bosses in no time. The regular Vanguard playlist works too but they a little longer to complete.

Raking the Coals: Complete playlist activities to earn Silver Leaves.

  • Playlist activities include the Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard Ops. You’ll earn around 5-7 leaves per activity completion. No shortcuts here unless you can quick defeat in the Crucible.

Dare to Dream: Complete runs of the Blind Well or Dares of Eternity to earn Silver Leaves.

  • The Blind Well is a public event located in the Dreaming City. You can add a waypoint to get to the event location faster. The problem with this one is that success in this public event requires you to get a number of Guardians to participate in the event. You might get help considering it’s an active event location. But don’t be surprised to find the place dead and devoid of Guardians. Completing Dares of Eternity is easier.

Brightfall: Complete Vanguard Ops or Nightfalls to earn Silver Leaves.

  • Vanguard Ops are easier to do but you’ll get more points in Nightfalls. You’ll get around 15% per Nightfall completion. Do the activity that’s best suited for your skill level.

Fires of Competition: Complete matches in Crucible or Gambit playlists to earn Silver Leaves.

  • Just play Control or Team Scorched. Heck, play 10 matches in Competitive. 10 matches of Gambit are not worth the pain and suffering.

A Spark in the Dark: Complete rounds of Altars of Sorrow or Salvage to earn Silver Leaves.

  • Altars of Sorrow is a public event with increasing difficulty located on the Moon. You’ll find Guardians going there to level up weapons or to mess around from time to time. You’ll find it easier to complete rounds of Salvage with other Guardians around.

In the Hot Seat: Complete activities on Neptune to earn Silver Leaves.

  • The fastest way to clear this challenge is to take part in public events. If there are no events close by, you can clear the Hydroponics Delta Lost Sector until you have enough leaves. You can also take part in the Terminal Overload public event. But we’ve had that bug out a couple of times and didn’t add to the progression.

Flamekeeper: Title claimed.

  • To unlock the Flamekeeper seal, you need to complete the rest of the challenges and press on the challenge a second time to progress the title and claim the rewards.

And that’s everything we’ve got for this Flamekeeper guide for Solstice of Heroes 2023. All things considered, you can get everything done in a couple of days with enough time and patience. You’ll then be free to grind for god rolls and that perfect Sunlit armor set.
