Destiny 2 Weekly Reset May 16 2023 – Last Week of Season of Defiance

This is our Destiny 2 Weekly reset article for the week of May 16th, 2023. We are nearly one week away from Season of the Deep. And no doubt, Bungie still has a couple of surprises lined up for this week’s TWAB. But we’ll get there when we get there.

This week is the final hoorah for Guardian Games and Season of Defiance! It’s always a weird feeling following the stories of both a season and an expansion. That’s one of the many things that make it a uniquely Destiny experience.

Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time

As always, the Destiny 2 weekly reset times are 10 AM PDT for the folks on the West Coast of the US. 6 AM BST for our readers in Britain. And 2 AM JST the following day for everyone in Japan.

Destiny 2 Weekly Activities May 16 – May 22 2023 Overview

It’s that time again. The final week of the season has always been about wrapping things up whether you’re on top of the seasonal content or just letting everything hang in the wind. It’s all good. A new Destiny 2 season means a chance at new beginnings. Don’t need to pressure yourself with stuff you could have missed or it’s just going to burn you out.

And as always don’t forget that this week sees bonus ranks in all ritual playlist activities: Crucible, Gambit, and Vanguard. It’s the perfect time to get the weapon ornament for Ecliptic Distaff from all three ritual vendors. (Though we don’t blame you if you feel less enthusiastic about playing multiple games of Gambit.)

Where is Xur? May 19 2023

It’s that time of the week again when everyone in the Destiny 2 community asks the question – Where is Xur?

This weekend Xur can be found on the cliff overlooking the Winding Cover in the EDZ. Just head North of the fast-travel spot and look for the cave that’s directly under his airship.

Destiny 2 Nightfall This Week May 16 – May 22 2023

This week we are going to the EDZ and taking the fight to the Taken in the revamped Lake of Shadows Nightfall. So, bring your friends and a love for all things pyramid tech, cause we are going on a road trip.

For the final week of season 20, the featured Nightfall weapon (and adept version) will be The Swarm machine gun.

Destiny 2 Crucible Featured Game Mode May 09 2023

We don’t have any updates for this week’s Crucible game mode. It will most likely be Zone Control again until Trials of Osiris comes around. But we can’t be 100% until the weekly reset.

Destiny 2 Featured Raid and Dungeon May 16 – May 22 2023

For the last time this season, the King’s Fall raid will be the featured raid. And sticking to the theme of reliving past glory, the Grasp of Avarice, with its “loot cave” is going to be the featured dungeon content for the final week.

And as usual, completing these featured content will reward you with pinnacle gear.

King’s Fall Raid Challenges

• The Grass is Always Greener: Done during the Totem encounter, the challenge asks Guardians to not take the same buff type two times in a row.
• Devious Thievery: Done during the Warpriest encounter, this challenge gives Guardians 5 seconds to swap buffs after swiping the Taken Knight’s Buff Claimer.
• Gaze Amaze: Done during the Golgoroth encounter, it requires the gaze holder to stand in the Pool of Unclaimed Light when swapping the gaze to another Guardian.
• Under Construction: Done during the Daughters encounter, the challenge requires Guardians to not stand on the same plate twice throughout the entire encounter.
• Hands Off: Done during the Oryx encounter, raiders must not kill the same Ogre or Light-Eater Knight throughout the whole encounter.
