If you’re excited for the beta, then you’ll be looking forward to the Diablo 4 Early Access preload and how much is its download size. With the Diablo 4 beta being limited to a few days, you don’t want to waste a single second downloading the beta when it actually drops. So you’ll definitely want details on when you can preload the Diablo 4 Early Access.

So when can you preload the Diablo 4 Early Access? And how much is the download size?

Diablo 4 Download Size for Early Access and Open Beta

The Diablo 4 Early Access preload size for PC is 41.40GB or 85GB depending if you choose to download high resolution assets, and for consoles, the PS5 preload size for Diablo 4 is 76.597GB.

According to the statements from the official Diablo 4 website, the Early Access will only feature the Prologue and the entirety of Chapter 1. While players can explore the snow-laden pathways of the Fractured Peak to look for points of interest and take on boss fights, the early access will cut them off at the end of the first chapter. They’ll also be unable to level up their character beyond level 25.

Players who are playing on PC have the choice to either download high resolution assets or not. The base Diablo 4 Early Access preload is only 41.40GB by itself and adding the high resolution assets more than adds double the amount. The Diablo 4 Early Access high resolution assets are only for those with 4k monitors and those who plan to play the game on maximum settings.

When can you preload Diablo 4 Early Access?

For players who have purchased the game or received access codes, the Preload for Early Access begins on March 15 at 9 a.m. PDT/ March 16 at 12 a.m. SGT (GMT +8). For those interested in participating in the Open Beta, the early download will begin a week later on March 22 at 9 a.m. PDT/ March 23 at 12 a.m. SGT (GMT +8).

Please note that early access to the game will be limited to players who have either pre-ordered the game or who have been given access codes. Our Diablo 4 Beta Sign Up and Early Access Guide will tell you more.

After pre-loading the Diablo 4 Early Access, you now only have to wait until March 17, 9 AM PDT to boot up the game. Since the beta will only be for a limited time only, you won’t have to waste any hours downloading the early access while it’s live. From March 17 to 19, the Early Access will be available to play for those who have access. The Diablo 4 Open beta will be available a week later at March 24 for everyone.

That’s everything on Diablo 4 Early Access preload and download size. We hope you found this article to be informative.
