With the Diablo 4 beta being limited to a few days, you don’t want to waste a single second downloading the beta when it actually drops. So you’ll definitely want details on when you can preload the Diablo 4 Early Access.
So when can you preload the Diablo 4 Early Access? And how much is the download size?
Diablo 4 Download Size for Early Access and Open Beta
The Diablo 4 Early Access preload size for PC is 41.40GB or 85GB depending if you choose to download high resolution assets, and for consoles, the PS5 preload size for Diablo 4 is 76.597GB.
According to the statements from the official Diablo 4 website, the Early Access will only feature the Prologue and the entirety of Chapter 1. While players can explore the snow-laden pathways of the Fractured Peak to look for points of interest and take on boss fights, the early access will cut them off at the end of the first chapter. They’ll also be unable to level up their character beyond level 25.
Players who are playing on PC have the choice to either download high resolution assets or not. The base Diablo 4 Early Access preload is only 41.40GB by itself and adding the high resolution assets more than adds double the amount. The Diablo 4 Early Access high resolution assets are only for those with 4k monitors and those who plan to play the game on maximum settings.
