Blizzard Entertainment confirms that Diablo IV Battle Passes will take a lot of time to clear. There is also new information about Seasons.
In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora recently divulged some details about each season’s Battle Pass like how long it would take to clear one. He revealed that it would take around 80 hours of gameplay to make that happen.
“Right now, the Battle Pass, when you’re figuring in completing the season journey alongside doing other content in the game, you’re looking at roughly 80 hours’ worth of time invested to complete the entirety of the Battle Pass,” Piepiora said. “To level a character to level 100 could take a little longer than that based on how you play.”
In another interview with Game Informer, Piepora dropped information that each season will have story content, but Diablo franchise boss Rod Fergusson clarified the matter on his personal Twitter account.
Fergusson wanted to manage the expectations of the fans as some fans misinterpreted the interview with Game Informer. He says that Piepora actually meant that the Seasons will have new quest lines that will help provide context to new seasonal mechanics. This did not mean that every season will have a new campaign of sorts.
It was then confirmed by Fergusson that the new quest lines will be available as a free path in each season. This will not require players to buy the Battle Pass in order to access this.
Diablo IV launches on June 6, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
