DICE Gets New GM Rebecka Coutaz; Oskar Gabrielson Leaves

Coutaz was the former studio director at Ubisoft Annecy.

DICE GM Oskar Gabrielson has now announced that he is leaving the game studio and there will be a replacement for him afterwards.

With the major shakeup happening at DICE right now, unfortunately, not everyone is staying their positions. According to GameSpot, Gabielson will be leaving DICE and he will leave it to another. In his new statement, he revealed that leaving the company was one of the most difficult decisions he had to make in his life.

“It is hard to put into words my passion for our studio, our teams and the Battlefield franchise. The last decade with the team at DICE has been nothing short of amazing. From the debut of Battlefield 3, to Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefield 1, and of course the return of all-out warfare with Battlefield 2042,” Gabrielson said. “There’s just been so many great memories working with our teams. DICE has some of the best talent in the industry and the team is in great hands.”

The one to take on that role that Gabrielson will leave behind is Rebecka Coutaz. She is the former studio director at Ubisoft Annecy. Gabrielson will not be leaving the DICE offices anytime soon as he will stay for a year before handing the position over fully to Coutaz. He will still help her with the transition to the role of GM.
