Eye On The Prize is the second part of the series of questlines in the Monsters, Inc. Realm in Disney Dreamlight Valley. After a failed attempt to convince Sulley, the next step is to get Mike to join the valley and assist him with his jokester record at the Laugh Floor. Read ahead as we break down all the necessary steps to complete the”Eye On The Prize” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Unlock the “Eye On The Prize” Quest
To unlock the “Eye On The Prize” Quest, players will have to progress and complete the first Monsters, Inc. realm quest called “Escape Claws.” Once done, talk to Mike who is standing at the F1 blue desk on the Laugh Floor to begin your series of objectives.
“Eye On The Prize” Quest Walkthrough
1. Search the Reception for Keycards
Mike is hesitant to leave The Laugh Floor, aiming to set a record-high score first. He needs Keycards from the reception area, but first, the door needs fixing. Retrieve the MIFT Toolkit from the back of the Laugh Floor inside the red cabinet (where you found the Fuse), use it to open the reception door, and collect the Keycards at the counter.
Once done, bring the keycards back to Mike. This will follow up with a cutscene where additional doors are being placed on each Laugh Floor bay area.
2. Find Clues to make Children Laugh
Mike then directs you to enter children’s rooms through three different doors (F2, F3, F4) and find clues to make them laugh.
Red Door (F2) Clues
Investigate specific drawings to compile a child’s file. Here’s where to find each drawing:
- The Elephant drawing attached to the wall near the bed.
- The Clown drawing attached to the wall near the white door.
- Interact with the red curtain on the wall across the bed to reveal a hidden Hat drawing attached to the window.
Blue Door (F3) Clues
Use your camera to take photos of the clues, which are:
- The yellow book with the “SR” symbol, which can be found on the floor by the bookshelf.
- The blue Astrojet Poster attached to the wall between the windows.
- The yellow star-shaped lights on the ceiling.
I tried taking a photo of Buzz Lightyear’s spaceship, but it didn’t count towards the progress. While it’s not confirmed yet, I assume that either the poster or the frame could be the clue, depending on the player. We’ll make sure to update this page as soon as more information becomes available.
Green Door (F4) Clues
Inside the Green Door (F4), you’ll have to look for the physical clue by removing the pile of stinky socks on the floor. Removing the last pile will likely spawn an item called Whoopee Cushion. Grab it and give it back to Mike on the Laugh Floor.
3. Find Sodas on Vending Machines
Now Mike needs three types of soda to complete his prank. Here’s where you can find each colored Soda:
Red Soda Location
The Red Soda can be found inside the Red Snacks Machine in the reception area near the entrance. Interact with it to open the storage, and you’ll find the Red Soda can along with three Pawpsicles.
Blue Soda Location
The Blue Soda can be found inside the Blue Snacks Machine in the reception area near the entrance. You’ll notice that the machine is inaccessible. Interact with the blue switch to your left to turn it on and open the storage of the Blue Snacks Machine to get the Blue Soda can.
Green Soda Location
The green soda can be obtained from the Green Snacks machine located inside the reception room. The vending machine is out of service and there are no switches around. To retrieve the Green Soda, you will need to smash the machine using your mining pickaxe.
With all three can of sodas in hand, bring them back to Mike to initiate a conversation followed with a cutscene.
4. Build Mike and Sulley’s Apartment in the Valley
Return to Dreamlight Valley to place and fund the construction of Mike and Sulley’s apartment, costing 20K Star Coins. Sulley appears immediately, but Mike requires one more step.
5. Take a Photo with Mike
Finally, return to the Monsters, Inc. Realm, take a photo with Mike, and he’ll then move to your valley. This completes the “Eye On The Prize” quest, adding two new characters into your collection of friends in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
