Villager of the Month is the second friendship quest for Sulley in Disney Dreamlight Valley. As a means of helping to improve the valley, Sulley would like that you keep an eye on and lend a hand if necessary to specific villagers who have proposed unique community projects. Read ahead as we go through all the steps along with some handy tips on how to complete the Villager of the Month Quest for Sulley in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Start “Villager of the Month” Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Villager of the Month quest becomes available after reaching Friendship Level 4 with Sulley and completing his previous quest, “Monster Movie Night.” After meeting the requirements, talk to Sulley to initiate the quest.
How to Complete the “Villager of the Month” Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Sulley is worried and asks you to check on and help out three participants for Villager of the Month: Donald, Ursula, and Mike. This quest will be broken down into three subquests. To be specific, you’ll start separate questlines for each villager when you start to talk with them, and you’ll need to help with various tasks to prove they deserve the award.
Here’s how to complete each individual quest for Villager of the Month:
Villager of the Month: Donald Walkthrough
Donald will reveal his plan to appear as though he’s contributing significantly to cleaning up the beach. He asks for your help to take photos of him next to trash piles, making it seem like he’s hard at work.
Your first task is to take photos of Donald Duck standing near trash piles, which can all be found in Dazzle Beach. Despite initial suggestions, you can take all three required photos next to the same pile of trash, making this step easier than it sounds. After taking three photos of Donald, he then wants you to actually clean up the trash.
Donald will give you an upgrade for your Royal Shovel, which you can then use to remove eight piles of trash scattered around Dazzle Beach. Keep in mind that trash piles are randomly spawned, so make sure to check every nook and cranny of the biome. Once all the trash has been cleared, Donald will hand over a doctored photo, which he wants you to show to Sulley as evidence of his hard work, hoping it will secure his victory as Villager of the Month.
Villager of the Month: Ursula Walkthrough
Instead of relying solely on her charm to win the award, Ursula decides to enchant the villagers with a special Perfume of the Sea. For this, you first need to gather the following ingredients:
- Seaweed (x6): obtainable by fishing in any open waters without ripples.
- Purple Hydrangeas (x3): can be foraged from Dazzle Beach.
- Purple Rising Penstemons (x6): can be foraged from Peaceful Meadow.
- Empty Vials (x3): can be crafted using three pieces of glass each.
After collecting all the ingredients, use any Crafting Station to make three Perfume of the Sea Enchantment under the ‘Functional Items’ tab. Once done, give the perfume to three specific villagers: Merlin, Mike Wazowski, and Goofy. Choose any of the optional dialogues to your liking, and once that’s done, return to Ursula to complete the “Villager of the Month: Ursula ” quest.
Villager of the Month: Mike Walkthrough
The main goal is to prepare the Hodgepodge a la Monstropolis meal to help Mike win the Villager of the Month title. For this, you need to gather the following ingredients:
- Carrots (x2): Purchase carrot seeds from Goofy’s Stall located in Peaceful Meadow.
- Corn (x2): Corn seeds are available at Goofy’s Stall in Dazzle Beach.
- Bell Peppers (x2): Find bell pepper seeds at Goofy’s Stall in the Forest of Valor.
After collecting the seeds, plant them in their preferred biomes in order for it to grow faster. Alternatively, you can use a Miracle Growth Elixir to instantly grow and harvest the crops. Once you’ve harvested the fresh vegetables, bring them to Mike. However, he’ll soon realize that something is missing from the recipe.
At this point, Mike asks you to consult with Remy, who reveals the secret ingredient: Fresh Compost. Locate two dirty piles of Fresh Compost outside Chez Remy. See the image above for reference.
With all the ingredients, including the Fresh Compost, head to Remy’s kitchen to prepare two servings of Hodgepodge a la Monstropolis. The recipe should be easily accessible at the Recipes Tab > Quest Icon. The final step is to deliver the freshly prepared Hodgepodge a la Monstropolis meal to Mike and complete the “Villager of the Month: Mike” quest.
Completing the “Villager of the Month” Main Quest
After completing all villager subquests, return to Sulley and talk to him. He goes on to say that the Villager of the Month has already been chosen, and Mike is not among them. Find Mike and give the news to him kindly. Once done, return to Sulley for a Surprise.
Sulley tells you that you’ve won Villager of the Month award and proceeds to give you an “Award Stand.” Head over to the Furniture Menu and place the Award Stand anywhere you like in the Valley to initiate a ceremonial photo op. Once done, talk to Sulley once more to complete the “Villager of the Month” friendship quest.
