In Dragon’s Dogma 2 Bows are the main weapons of the Archer vocation and can also be wielded by the Warfarer vocation. We listed down the top 11 best bows that can be obtained in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

The bows listed below are ranked based on their base stats including strength, strike strength, and knockdown power, with some exception based on the stage of the game they are most effective. I have included how to obtain these bows and whether they are easy to acquire.

    Fluted Bow

Dragon's Dogma 2 Fluted Bow bow description
A sturdy bow of wood and metal alloy that manages to remain pliant enough for even feeble archers to draw.
    • Strength: 148
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 150

The Fluted Bow in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a sturdy weapon constructed from a blend of wood and metal alloy. This unique design offers surprising flexibility, making it an easiest choice for beginner archers who lack raw strength. You can find the Fluted Bow in chests located within the Dracanward Tower, look for the one with a ballista on the second floor, or inside a guard tower within the region of Vernworth.

    Veteran’s Arc

    Dragon's Dogma 2 Veteran's Arc bow description
An iron bow of impressive make. Heavy in the hand, but unmatched for balance.
    • Strength: 163
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 150

The Veteran’s Arc can be obtained at Celeste’s Smithy in Checkpoint Rest Town for 21,200 G, making it easy for players to get a decent enough bow at the early part of the game.

    Repeller Bow

Dragon's Dogma 2 Repeller bow description
A bow wrapped in the hide of a divine creature. Its sting is most keenly felt by chimeric foes.
    • Strength: 170
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 190

The Repeller Bow can be obtained as a reward from Doireann for completing the A Trial of Archery. It’s special case use is it deals bonus damage against Chimaeras.

    Darkening Storm

Dragon's Dogma 2 Darkening Storm bow description
A bow engraved with the form of a dark beast. Especially ruinous to griffins.
    • Strength: 198
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 210

The Darkening Storm bow is the best bow for early game if you’re lucky enough to find it. It’s tedious but it can be obtained from a chest not far west from Checkpoint Rest Town. Locate the riverbed and follow its path, and near where the riverbed ends tucked beneath some rocks, you can find the chest containing the Darkening Storm near the base of a cliff. Also note that there might be some tough enemies in the area so be prepared for a fight.

    Dinistrydd

Dragon's Dogma 2 Dinistrydd bow description
A bow fashioned by an elven artisan using rare plant fibers reinforced with metal. The added weight lends power to the draw without hindering flexibility.
    • Strength: 233
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 180

The Dinistrydd can be obtained from Grisha’s Armory in Sacred Arbor for 38,900 G. It has a decent upgrade to the strength of shots for dealing with enemies in the middle part of the game.

    Predator

Dragon's Dogma 2 Predator bow description
A bow crafted from iron and heartwood. Lauded for its exceptional accuracy, it is most devastating when unleashed upon harpies and their fell sisters.
    • Strength: 204
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 220

The Predator is my best mid-game bow and can be obtained from Awaran’s Arms in Bakbattahl for 33,500 G. Its strong knockdown power and low stamina consumption gives it the edge in taking down harpies from the sky quickly. You can use this to while focusing on gathering materials to upgrade the Revenant Wail bow.

    Dragon’s Blink

    Dragon's Dogma 2 Dragon's Blink bow description
A longbow worthy of its namesake. It lets fly arrows infused with draconic power.
    • Strength: 256
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 190

The Dragon’s Blink can be obtained from Awaran’s Arms in Bakbattahl for 48,500 G. This bow focuses more on dealing more damage in each shot with its significant boost to its strength stat.

    Medusan Spellbow

Dragon's Dogma 2 Medusan Spellbow description
A bow of untold origins, clearly not of mortal make. It greatly increases Stamina consumption, but felling foes with it earns the wielder hefty experience.
    • Strength: 300
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 268

The Medusan Spellbow has a chance to drop from a slain Medusa (must be killed and not petrified). It is a must have bow upon reaching the Battahl region as kills through this bow give bonus XP, however you will have to deal with its weight and increased stamina consumption.

    Revenant Wail

Dragon's Dogma 2 Revenant Wail bow description
A bow crafted of monster hide and sinew, resulting in a well- balanced composition. The arrows it looses find their quarry with astounding ferocity.
    • Strength: 280
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 220

The Revenant Wail can be obtained late-mid game from the Volcanic Island Armory in the Volcanic Island Camp for 55,000 G, and it can also be obtained from the other smithies once they are evacuated in the Unmoored World. It has a good balance between strength and knockdown power with just a minor drawback of being a moderately heavy bow. It has the ability to inflict the ‘Silence’ status makes it powerful against spellcasters.

    Dragon’s Rancor

    Dragon's Dogma 2 Dragon's Rancor bow description
A bow worthy of its legendary namesake. As responsive and powerful as a dragon in flight.
    • Strength: 308
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 215

The Dragon’s Rancor can be only be obtained from the Dragonforged at the Bay Wayside Shrine while in the Unmoored World for 110 Wyrmslife Crystal. It has great strength and knockdown power stats, plus it it has a lighter frame for a decreased stamina consumption. It has a chance to inflict the Torpor status effect on enemies. Torpor slows enemy movement and reactions significantly, giving you a tactical advantage in combat.

    Hydra Husk

Dragon's Dogma 2 Hydra Husk bow description
A bow fashioned from the skin of the legendary hydra. Resembles a coil of conjoined serpents, whose peculiar torso rests comfortably in the hand.
    • Strength: 340
    • Strike Strength: 100
    • Knockdown Power: 268

The Hydra Husk is the best bow in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and can be obtained from the smithies and armories only while within the Unmoored World for 75,000 G. It is the best bow in the game when it comes to stats, letting you stagger and disrupt enemies effectively. Its only drawbacks are that it is a slightly heavier bow than the Dragon’s Rancor, the Hydra Husk offers no Magick boost whatsoever, making it unsuitable for magic-focused or hybrid builds.
