How to Level Up Memory Gems Fast in Echoes of Mana
You need Echo plants to be able to level up your Memory Gems. There are several types of Echo plants in the game and they each give you varying degrees of XP for your Memory Gems. Here are all the types of Echo plants:
- Echo Seed
- Echo Sprout
- Echo Bloom
Echo Seeds give you the least XP for your Memory Gems. Echo Sprouts give you adequate XP. What you’re looking to find in order to level up your Memory Gems fast are Echo Blooms which give you the most XP possible.
It’s important to know that you need to finish story quest 2-12 before you can get Echo plants. So how do you farm Echo plants? You have to go to Training Dungeons (material dungeons) and then farm them through the Echoing Maze. Alternatively, you could farm them through Story Quests but that’s the longer route.
How to Unleash Memory Gems in Echoes of Mana
You need two of the same type of Memory Gems to unleash Memory Gems.
Memory Gems have level caps that are thresholds for XP. Once you’ve hit the level cap, Echo plants can no longer upgrade Memory Gems. You can uncap these level caps by unleashing Memory Gems. This is where you’ll need your copy of the extra Memory Gem to assimilate to the upgraded Memory Gem to bypass its level cap.
The rarity★ of Memory Gems can influence the number of level limits it has before it reaches the cap. Here are the level limits per Memory Gem rarity:

The higher the rarity, the more you can upgrade it. This is why Memory Gems like The Tale Begins 4★ and Sword From Above 4★ can significantly give you better stats than Memory Gems like Thorn Village Fairy 3★ as the threshold is much higher even when uncapped.
